We are a not-for-profit organization which provides Christian
counseling, consulting, and community workshops and classes with
several offices in the Southern Illinois area. Clients comprise all
cultural, racial, religious, and economic backgrounds.
About our therapists:

Carla Monroe Boyd, LCSW, BCPCC
Agency Director, Therapist
Carla is a Licensed Clinical Social
Worker and holds an undergraduate degree from California Baptist
University, and a Masters Degree in Social Work from University of
Illinois. Carla worked for Baptist Children's Home and Family Services
for 27 years. She retired as Director of Maternity Care, Foster Care
and Adoption. Carla is a Board Certified Professional Christian
Counselor and a member of the American Association of Christian
Counselors. Carla is currently serving as the Public Relations
Director of CCFS.
Additionally, Carla is Certified to use the Prepare/Enrich Inventory in
Marrital and Pre-Marital counseling and has helped over 50 couples in
relationship.
Carla is an avid traveler and believer in missions. Her most recent
trip included teaching a Grief Workshop at a Bible college in India.

Paula Clouse, LPC,NCC, BCPCC
Licensed Professional Counselor - Psychotherapist
Paula holds an undergraduate degree
from McKendree University and a Masters in Counseling Psychology from
Lincoln Christian Seminary. She is licensed with the state of Illinois,
and holds a National credential as a Certified Counselor. Paula is also
a Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor and a member of the
American Association of Christian Counselors. She has worked as the
administrator and CEO of a private Christian counseling agency, and has
been with CCFS for 3 years.
Paula is a relational therapist. This interactive approach creates a
partnership with the client necessary for development of goals, healthy
boundaries, and empowerment of the client for change. Directly
communicating client strengths and modeling new behavior offers the
client the opportunity to achieve milestones leading to increased
self-esteem and more satisfying relationships.
Additionally, Paula has been a presenter for 7 years at the annual
regional teacher's conference, discussing such issues as ADHD,
Depression in Children, Anxiety Disorders, and Bipolar Disorder in
Children and Adolescents. Paula enjoys teaching community workshops and
has been a speaker for Head Start, various hospital and health
organizations, and regional grief and bereavement organizations.
Paula loves travel and has been afforded opportunity to provide
ministry to Native Americans, Inner City populations, and individuals

Tina Mitchell, LPC, NCC
Licensed Professional Counselor
National Certified Counselor
Tina holds an undergraduate degree from SIU Carbondale, and a Masters Degree in School Counseling, and a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO. She is a licensed Professional Counselor in Illinois, and a National Certified Counselor. She is certified as a School Guidance Counselor in Illinois and Missouri.
Since 1995 Tina has been working for Mount Vernon City Schools, District 80 as a Parent Social Services Coordinator. She is also a Counselor/Mentor/Facilitator at the United Methodist Children Home (SILAN).
Tina is a member of the Illinois Counselor Association and Illinois Mental Health Counselors Association.
